Orphan Pet Oasis Charity Invites Golfers For A Cause

Orphan Pet Oasis Charity which works for the benefit of abandoned animals is back with a golf tournament with a mission to raise funds for it non profit organization. This year will be the fourth consecutive year when the Orphan Pet Oasis Charity Golf Tourney will take place.

The golf tourney is being organized to collect funds for the pets at the Orphan Pet Oasis. The event will be held at Tahquitz Creek Resort in Palm Springs on May 23, 2010.

Last year the event saw participation of 106 golfers and is expecting a larger number this year. Every year they are overwhelmed with the participation and donations by golfers. Golfers enjoy playing the Scramble game, in the game there are teams consisting of 4 players each. Each player tees off on each goal the best of the tee shot is selected and all the players play for the same shot. Then the best of the second shot is determined and players keep playing until the last ball is holed.

The organizers are hoping to see a minimum of 30 teams in the event. The game would be followed by trophy ceremony awarding the winning teams and giving away prizes to the best golfers. There will also be an after party with complimentary buffet and many more exciting games. During the party the group will show presentations and tell the attendants about the work they do and raise money for needy animals.

The Orphan Pet Oasis has been supporting the homeless animals since 1961. This year they want to raise $10,000 with the golf event through sponsorships and donations.
